I have a cat with skin issues (dry, flaky, itchy) and a few weeks ago, she had a really bad flare up. She was scratching herself raw around her neck and the base of her tail. Vet said there was no evidence of fleas, and I already had her on a limited ingredient poultry-free food (I had also tried medicated shampoo and homeopathic drops). I was completely stressed out, seeing how miserable she was and not knowing how to help her.One night, I found Licks and decided to buy a box, hoping it might help (and also hoping she would actually take it, since there are a lot of reviews that say their cat wouldn’t). I put a packet on her wet food and crossed my fingers. She licked it right up, no hesitation! (I also don’t really notice any strong odor, no more so than what a can of cat food smells like.)I’ve been giving her one packet a day for about two weeks now and she is pretty much back to her old self! The wounds around her neck are completely healed, she isn’t scratching nearly as much, and her fur is getting really soft. She has started laying on my lap again, and is currently laying beside me on the bed as I’m typing this up. She hadn’t done either of those things since this terrible situation began. You can just tell that she is feeling better and I couldn’t be happier. I will continue to buy these for as long as they continue to work for my baby.By the way, I keep the box in my refrigerator and before I open a packet, I squish it around for a minute to mix it up. It still comes out in two different consistencies (some of it is oily and runny and some of it looks like caramel lol). She licks up both.
